Comprehensive Marine Fuel Supply
Bened Shipping BV's bunkering division supplies marine fuels to vessels operating in and around the Netherlands, with primary delivery points at the Port of Rotterdam, Port of Amsterdam, and Moerdijk. We served over 500 vessels in 2025, delivering a combined volume of more than 350,000 tonnes of marine fuel products.
Our bunker supply operation is supported by a fleet of dedicated bunker barges with a combined capacity of 4,500 m³, strategically positioned at key bunkering anchorages. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the ability to mobilise for emergency bunkering requests within 4 hours of order confirmation.

Delivery Locations & Methods
Port of Rotterdam: We deliver at all major Rotterdam bunkering anchorages including Maasvlakte, Europort, and Botlek areas. Delivery by dedicated bunker barge (4,500 m³ combined fleet capacity) or shore-based truck loading for smaller volumes. Standard response time: 6-12 hours from order confirmation.
Port of Amsterdam: Bunker delivery at IJmuiden, Amsterdam West, and Coenhaven anchorage areas. Response time: 8-16 hours.
Moerdijk: Inland waterway bunkering for vessels on the Rhine-Meuse-Scheldt corridor. Delivery by bunker barge or pipeline from our Moerdijk terminal. Response time: 4-8 hours.
Ship-to-Ship (STS) Transfer: We coordinate STS bunkering at designated anchorage areas for vessels unable to deviate from their route. All STS operations comply with IMO guidelines and are conducted with full risk assessment and compatibility checks.
Quality Assurance & Testing
Every bunker delivery is backed by rigorous quality control procedures:
- Pre-Delivery Sampling: Continuous drip sampling throughout the bunkering process in accordance with ISO 13739. Representative samples are sealed in the presence of the chief engineer and retained for a minimum of 12 months.
- Laboratory Testing: All bunker fuels are tested by our accredited on-site laboratory for key parameters including viscosity, density, sulphur content, water content, pour point, flash point, and CCAI (Calculated Carbon Aromaticity Index).
- Independent Verification: Upon request, we arrange independent testing by internationally recognised inspection agencies such as SGS, Saybolt, or Inspectorate at the buyer's cost.
- Bunker Delivery Note (BDN): Issued in compliance with MARPOL Annex VI Regulation 18, containing all required product specifications, quantity, and sulphur content declaration.
Pricing & Ordering
Our bunker fuel prices are benchmarked against Platts Singapore / Platts Rotterdam assessments for the relevant product grade, with a fixed premium that is transparently communicated at the time of quotation. We offer the following pricing mechanisms:
- Spot Pricing: Fixed price quotations valid for 4 hours, based on current Platts assessments plus our published premium.
- Volume Contracts: Discounted pricing for customers committing to minimum monthly volumes (500+ tonnes). Price formula based on monthly average Platts.
- Budget Bunker: Forward purchasing option allowing customers to lock in prices for future delivery dates, hedging against market volatility.
